Abstract

Stress is a common phenomenon of everyday life and life without stress can not be imgined. Depression has a definite relation to stressful life events. The predictive value of recent stressful life events such as major personal illness, financial loss, death of close family members, family conflict and changes in working condition in coronary heart disease have been observed by several western and Indian workers.
