Sustainable Control of Vitamin A Deficiency
Jump To References Section
Abstract
Recent years have witnessed great strides in India and other Asian countries in the control of clinical micronutrient deficiencies. This progress is particularly apparent for goiter and cretinism from iodine deficiency, and blinding malnutrition and xerophthalmia from vitamin A deficiency. Iron-deficiency anemia, however, still persists at an unacceptably high prevalence among reproductive aged women, infants and young children.Downloads
