The Centenary of General Relativity: Contributions of Indian Scientists

Abstract

General Relativity also known as general theory of relativity, is the geometrical theory of gravitation first published by Albert Einstein (1879-1955) in 1915. It gives us the current description of gravitation in modern physics. This year, happens to be the centenary year of this scientific innovation. In this article, the contributions of the Indian scientists, who worked in this area during the 20th century, has been discussed.
