Abstract

The main thrust area of the Field Medalist mathematician Manjul Bhargava’s Research work, has been the Algebraic Number Theory. He has generalized the200 years old composition law of C. F. Gauss. But the composition law was first discovered by the legendary ancient Indian mathematician Brahmagupta in the Seventh century A.D. and he had named it “Samasabhavanaâ€. So Bhargava has extended a concept, whose seeds were first sown in ancient India. Though born abroad, Manjul Bhargava has been the torch-bearer of the glorious mathematic allegacy of India.
