Abstract

Shialkanta is a very common tropical weed found almost everywhere in India. Containing many noxious constituents in the body, this plant and its parts are used as traditional therapeutic agents from long ago. However, Shialkanta do es not get any significant recognition from today's pharmacological standpoint. The present article spells out the utility, efficacy and potency of Shialkanta with modern approaches.
