This study examines the perception of HR professionals on their leader’s workstyle with a special reference to IT sector employees in India. We used a survey instrument holding both affirmative and non-affirmative variables on a leader’s workstyle and collected data from 601 employees working in the field of information technology. We analysed quantitative data using analysis and found that there is a positive affirmation among the leaders by being a role model or charismatic. The study also highlighted the areas that require the attention of leaders to improve their workstyle functioning by considering the non-affirmative variables as essentially the role of a leader is to bring value to their followers.
