Abstract

The main characteristics of the phenomenon of percolation which occurs under certain conditions in microemulsions are reported. The article focuses particularly on electrical conductivity, dielectric relaxation and dynamic viscosity. Variations of the percolation threshold as a function of a number of parameters are studied and demonstrate the fundamental role of interactions. The article stresses the notion of percolation threshold lines in the ternary diagram and therefore the highly important role of the experimental pathway.
