It was shown by Iversen [2] that if a non-constant meromorphic function f(z) has a Picard value a, then that value is necessarily an asymptotic value, i.e. there exists a path Γ tending to ∞ in the z-plane such that
f(z) → a, as z →∞ along Γ.
