Abstract

Nutrition plays a very important role in the physical, mental and emotional development of a child. The infants and preschool children are most vulnerable to retardation in growth as a result of malnutrition and under-nutrition. The problems get compounded, due to the ignorance and poverty of most of the parents, when they grow rapidly and need the best food and care. This study is an effort to analyse the factors affecting the nutritional status of selected rural infants in Haryana.
