Abstract

Adulteration is an inevitable evil prevailing for centuries and still continues in India even after endless efforts made to control it. Spices form virtually an internal and an indispensable part of Indian diet. Spices as a whole or powdered are not free form adulterants which are intentionally added and quite often incidental too.
