Abstract

Prolonged exposure of lead (pb) is known to cause a wide spectrum of toxic effect; both in men and experimental animals. Several studies have shown that the absorption of orally ingested lead is influenced by an organism's nutritional status and by dietary condition. Nutritional factors affecting lead absorption have been reviewed.
