Abstract

Iron deficiency is one of the most widely prevalent forms of micronutrient mainutrition worldwide. Iron shortage is clinically known as Iron Deficiency Anaemia (IDA) and is a serious public health problem, particularly in India where high maternal, infant and early child mortality prevails.
