Abstract
Mental health is defined as a state of well-being in which every Individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is able to make a contibution to her or his community. Adolescence is a developmental phase during which several of the mental health disorders of adulthood appear. Intake of sugar-sweetened beverages has been implicated as a likely contributing factor to the growing non-communicable disease rates including mental disorders among children and adolescents because sugared beverages represent a significant source of calorie consumption in this population.Downloads
