Abstract

One of the major problems that the world faces today is the nutrition of children. Inspite of great scientific achievements in the food and nutrition sciences, various constraints still exist that hamper our progress towards achieving optimal nutrition for all1. Developing countries data indicate that close to 2,200 million people live in the state of severe poverty. Out of every 1000 live births, 130 babies never reach their first birthday and only one in seven have the good fortune to right vaccination on time.
