Abstract

In developing countries of the world, malnutrition makes its impact principally on young children, because childhood is a period of rapid growth when nutritional needs are very high. Feeding especially in the early years of life has a life long effect since varying degrees of growth retardation has been observed in infants and children because of undernutrition and malnutrition.
