Abstract

Anemia is the second most common affliction in the world and nutritional iron deficiency is the most common cause of it. On the other hand, pellagra is the nutritional disease associated with niacin deficiency excessive consumption of maize as the staple diet'. The incidence of both these conditions is high in the Udaipur region of India.
