Abstract

β-carotene constitutes a considerable source of vitamin A in most animal species. It has been observed that the utilisation of small doses of β-carotene in aqueous suspension as vitamin A deposits in liver and kidney were enhanced with the increase in dietary casein from 11 per cent to 40 per cent.
