Abstract

Health and longevity of people are much influenced by nutrition. Good nutrition, therefore, plays a very important role in the progress of any nation. Problems of production, transportation, distribution, storage, preservation of food and ever increasing population have been the main obstacles in the battle against hunger and malnutrition in many of the Asian countries.
