Abstract

Children below 14 years constitute approximately 40 per cent of the total population in India. Good nutrition in childhood and throughout the life span is of paramount importance in fostering the physical, mental, emotional and social growth of the population. Malnutrition, particularly, iron deficiency anaemia among our children is one of the most important health problems.
