Abstract

During recent years a large amount of work has been done by various workers on the effects of disproportionate amounts of amino acids on the growth and health of experimental animals. The results have shown that addition of excess amounts of the different essential amino acids to low protein diets may produce depression in growth and in some cases, toxic effects.
