Abstract

The two volumes of this book are the result of the combined experiences of the authors over a number of years in every continent of the world They examine basic principles of nutrition as related to the environment because they have perceived that knowledge of nutritional science will not be used effectively unless it is related to the many factors constituting the ecology of food and nutrition. The authors are of the opinion that the causation and control of malnutrition differ little in principle between the developing and affluent areas of the world.
