Abstract

During the present investigation a survey of Tribal dominated areas in Santhal Pargana (Jharkhand) has been conducted to generate the data of medicinal plants being used by the primitive and aboriginal people for treatment of various types of diseases.

During the present investigation rapid assessment were made for documentation of the flora of the Santhal Pargana (Jharkhand) region and around 425 different flowering plants were recorded. Out of the 425 plants species the 105 plants species are highly medicinal value. Out of these 105 medicinal plants around 22 (Twenty-two) plants are using by Tribal and local people of Santhal Pargana (Jharkhand).
