Abstract

In the present NMR study of the three component (Triton X 100, iodine and carbon tetrachloride) system, it is shown that the solubilized iodine is really present in the core of the reverse micelle formed, and that the surfactant interacts with iodine through the oxygen of the 'OH' group present in the core.
