Development of disease resistant genotype is the most viable strategy for integrated disease management of mulberry. Breeding for the superior genotype of mulberry has an urgent need for the intervention of efficient selection tool to screen a large number of genotypes efficiently. Newly emerging phenomic techniques can be employed for rapid detection by leaf surface architecture. Furthermore, development of candidate-gene based molecular marker will more enrich the mulberry biotic stress breeding program.Downloads
