Abstract

Omega-3 Omega-6 (n-3, n-6) family unsaturated fatty acids are known to be as dietary therapeutic substances, prescribed in coronary heart disease (CHD) due to their beneficiary effects. Although fish oils were known to be good source of unsaturated fatty acids (20:5, 22:6), the precursor (18:3, 18:2) of these long chain unsaturated fatty acids containing vegetable oils are seldom mentioned.
