This book provides a critical, detailed review of all available data useful in assessing the potential hazards to health posed by the presence of selected veterinary drug residues in foods consumed by humans. Relevant safety data from studies of pharmacokinetics, toxicology, embryotoxicity, carcinogenicity and genotoxicity are collected and assessed in order to establish acceptable daily intakes that fully protect consumers from health hazards linked to the veterinary use of drugs in food-producing animals.
