Towards a Hunger - Free India

Abstract

The National Agenda for Governance of the parties constituting the ruling coalition at the Centre calls for the eradication of hunger from the country within the next few years. This has been the life long mission of Dr. Rajammal P. Devadas, who during the past 50 years has been a crusader for household nutrition security, gender equality and the welfare of children. She has helped to strengthen home science education and to make the nutritious noon meal programme of Tamil Nadu really effective.
