Abstract
Jharkhand is one of the Eastern States of India, where large concentration of tribals are found. The state although very rich in mineral and natural resources, is one of the poorest states in the country in terms of human development. It has been termed as food insecure region with around 61 per cent of the rural population below poverty line. Ranchi is the most populous district of the state, having about 9.6 lakh tribals forming 43.56 per cent of its total population.Downloads
