Abstract

Diabetic Meiiitus (DM) is a chronic disorder resuiting from a number of factors in which an absoiute or relative deficiency of insuiin or its function occurs. World Heaith Organization has reported that giobal prevalence of diabetes will increase more than double from 135 million to 300 million by 2025. India stands as the first in whole world to have the largest number of diabetes mainly Non Insulin Dependent Diabetes Meiiitus (NIDDM). Current estimate is about 19.4 million and will be greater than 57 million diabetes by 2025.
