Abstract

Growth efficiency in early stages of life of animals is an important factor in productive efficiency.The overhead charges of maintenance of animals till it reaches productive stage accounts for economic rearing of livestock. Smaller size animals like goats which give both milk and meat grow faster and attain 50 per cent mature weight in less than 8 to 9 months time.
