Abstract

This book is a collection of thirteen essays by the noted development economist, Singer, written at various points of time. Based on the author's long and widespread experience and contacts with the developing countries, it provides a useful conspectus of his current outlook on development problems. It illustrates a number of the central problems of the economic and social progress of developing countries, including planning, aid, trade employment, and technology.
