Abstract

Development of human resources depends on education and health. While education helps an individual to develop fully his intellectual potential, increase productivity and become an useful and responsible member of the society, health imparts the capacity to use the body effectively and is equally essential for the realisation of the personal, economic and social objectives. Hence, if the younger generation is to develop into responsive citizens with correct attitudes towards food and health, the only available channel to impart health and nutrition education is the primary school.
