Abstract

With the nutritional sciences expanding in all its frontiers and all regions of the world, correct terminology and an international understanding is an absolute necessity. The WHO/FAO under the able leadership of Dr. W. R. Aykroyd, WHO consultant and Jean Mayer, FAO consultant, the International Union of Nutrition Sciences have collected essential terms in this brochure with a view to facilitate the work of the organisation and agencies of the United Nations system.
