Abstract

The effect of immobilization on various metabolic and physiologic functions of the body has been the subject of interest since the beginning of man's exploration of space. It is becoming increasingly evident that gravitational force and activity play a vital role in maintaining the health of the musculoskeletal system and the body as a whole.
