Abstract

The so called human civilization is supposedly a departure from the usual go of the nature. Some aspect jof human beings must be responsible for that. The author tries to dwell on the concept of the said aspect which might be the ability to create something novel. Our commonnotion is that the persons with superior intelligence may be endowed with an ability to create. But research findings do not support this; rather they hold that the individuals with high IQ may have quite low Creativity, whereas persons with IQ just beyond average may have high ability to create. Also there is an optimistic side of it. Most of the factors, responsible for Divergent Thinking ability (creativity) may be inclucated in young minds, thereby, enhancing this ability to a considerable extent.
