Abstract

Jumping gene or transposan is 4 segment of DNA that can move fram one position of the genorne to the other. Three broad classes of transposons are known to exist which are characterised by their peculiarities in genome organisation. Transpasons can affect the cell by inducing changes in the gene expression pat- tern and thereby causing various heritable changes,
