Abstract

Recently a note on the Foucault pendulum has been published in this journal. The pendulum is named after its inventor L6on Foucault, who demonstrated with it the earth's diurnal rotation at the Paris Exhibition in 1851. Visitors can see this device in the Pantheon Paris.
