Abstract

Cotton is being produced, processed and consumed since about 3000 B.C., contributing to the protection, safety and the well being of the people¹. This environment friendly, bio-degradable fibre has some distinct advantageous properties² such as, moderate dry and wet tensile strength, appreciable moisture regain, good moisture transport property, freedom from static charge generation and pleasant feel.
